Summer Relay 2019

This years relay is the return of an old favourite. The weardale Way. On June 29th we will be taking on this 70 mile route through County Durham and Sunderland from Killhope to the sea. Graham will be sending round a reminder to get everyone signed up for the legs they want to run.

We have a mini-bus booked and just need runners to take part.

On 30th June this year we are planning to run the 88.5 miles from Hexham Abbey to Tynemouth Priory (I know, we’re going the long way!) Don’t worry though, no-one is expected to run the whole thing! The route has been broken down into 20 legs which vary, long, short, flat, hilly, road and of-road are all available, so something for everyone!

If you would like to participate, please let Graham know by responding via Email, Facebook, Smoke signals or see him on a club night.
Please also have a look at the spreadsheet below that details the route and choose what sections you’d like to do.

Like last year, we have a mini-bus booked for the whole day (we will depart circa 6am and return sometime between 22:30 – 23:00 – its an all day event) As always, if you have your own transport, you can arrange to meet us for a shorter section any time during the day.

The relays are always a great day out and social event, it would be great to get as many senior members attending as possible!
